Celebrate The Gift of Time at Leeza’s Care Connections Senior Prom – April 3

February 28, 2020

Senior Prom is a challenge to the community to connect across the generations through the timeless language of music all the while fundraising to help support families coping with chronic illnesses across the Midlands. Join Leeza’s Care connection Friday, April 3rd 2020 at UUMC Family Life Center (7582 Woodrow Street, Irmo) from 6:30-9pm as we celebrate our seniors with our founder, Leeza Gibbons! Tickets are $25 and be purchased on our website www.leezascareconnection.org. All proceeds raised from the event benefit Leeza’s Care Connection a nonprofit 501(c)3 charitable organization.

Whether it is the dancing, the music, a wrist corsage or a ruffled tux shirt- most of us recall our prom as an important rite of passage. Through the generations, not much has changed, that is until now! Everyone is welcome with or without a date and there is no prom dress or tuxedo required. All you need are your dancing shoes to enjoy this evening of live music, good food and prom court too.

The only resource of its kind in South Carolina, Leeza’s Care Connection is the first place to go when chronic illness changes everything. Located in the original Mungo Home in Irmo, SC, Leeza’s Care Connection is a free community center working to help families cope through tips, strategies, and support. Leeza’s Care Connection supports 1,000 families monthly that are caring for Alzheimer’s, stroke, Parkinson’s or some other chronic illness or disease. Entertainment and news personality Leeza Gibbons created “what she and her family wish they had when her mother and grandmother were struggling with Alzheimer’s” and opened it right in the neighborhood her family lived in.
