Celebrating Abilities in South Carolina from the Mountains to the Beaches Annual Gala

COLUMBIA, SC – April 26, 2013 – Since 1977 Protection and Advocacy for People with Disabilities, Inc. (P&A) has advocated for the rights of people with disabilities to live and work where they choose, to have equal access to services, and to be free from abuse and neglect.  As a private, non-profit organization, P&A relies on the generosity and support of the community so they can continue to serve people with disabilities statewide.P&A’s annual gala celebrates the abilities of people with disabilities.  P&A’s gala is Friday, April 26, 2013 from 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. at Nelson Mullins in the Meridian Building in Columbia. The evening will include music by Jim LeBlanc, a silent auction of art by people with disabilities, a live auction, fabulous food and desserts.  The evening’s attendees include people with disabilities, their families, health care professionals, attorneys, and community and business leaders from around the state.   All proceeds benefit people with disabilities served by P&A. 

Donations are crucial to P&A and the people served, especially during these times of uncertain funding.  P&A is a 501(c)(3) and donations are tax deductible.
