Chamber ribbon cutting and anniversary celebration set for The Musgrove Market
October 28, 2026The Musgrove Market will mark its first year in business on Tuesday, Nov. 3, with a daylong celebration at its shop at 202 Musgrove St. in downtown Clinton.
The festivities will begin at 10 a.m. with an official ribbon cutting as the market becomes a member of the Laurens County Chamber of Commerce. Shoppers can take advantage of special sales throughout the day. From 4 to 6 p.m., the market will host an anniversary gathering with special treats and beverages.
Co-owners Andrea Curtis, Ellen Templeton, Heather Tiller and Susan Tallman said they have been overwhelmed by the community’s response over the past 12 months.
“We cannot believe it has already been a year,” Tiller said. “This community has shown us so much love, encouragement and support. We have learned a lot and had a whole lot of fun. We are working every day to make The Musgrove Market even better.”
Curtis said the anniversary is a chance to thank the customers who have helped the business grow.
Templeton extended an invitation to everyone in the community.
“Whether you have shopped with us once, you stop by every week or you have been meaning to come see us, we would love to have you celebrate with us,” Templeton said. “Here’s to one wonderful year and many more to come.”
Tallman said the market’s success challenges a common belief about downtown Clinton.
“In Clinton, there is this perception that business is not good downtown,” Tallman said. “We beg to differ. Business is great, and it is fun. Probably more than half of the people who shop at the market are from out of town. In fact, our very first customer was from Italy.”
Joining the Laurens County Chamber of Commerce marks another step in the market’s growth as part of Clinton’s downtown business community. The public is invited to attend the ribbon cutting and the afternoon celebration.
The Musgrove Market is located at 202 Musgrove St., Clinton.
