Chamber’s State of Our Community to bring local leaders together Sept. 1
August 21, 2026The Georgetown County Chamber of Commerce will bring together government and community leaders for its annual State of Our Community on Tuesday, Sept. 1, at 8:30 a.m. at Winyah Auditorium in Georgetown.
The program offers Chamber members and the community an opportunity to hear directly from leaders about the issues, opportunities and priorities shaping Georgetown County and its municipalities.
Award-winning journalist Hannah Hall will moderate the discussion, guiding a conversation focused on what is happening across the county today and what residents and businesses can expect in the months and years ahead.
Invited speakers include: County Council Chair Clint Elliott, County Administrator Angela Christian, Georgetown Mayor Jay Doyle, Georgetown Administrator Scott Whittier, Andrews Mayor Frank McClary, Andrews Administrator Mauretta Wilson, Town of Pawleys Island Mayor Brian Henry, and Administrator Daniel Newquist.
Topics are expected to include growth and development, infrastructure, public services, business and tourism, quality of life, and other issues affecting Georgetown County communities.
