Charles Norris admitted to American College of Trial Lawyers

Charles R. NorrisNelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough partner, has been inducted as a Fellow to the American College of Trial Lawyers (ACTL), one of the premier legal associations of North America.

Founded in 1950, ACTL is composed of the best of the trial bar from the United States and Canada. Fellowship in the College is by invitation only and is limited to outstanding trial lawyers who are considered to be the best in their state or province. A Fellow must be of excellent character and adhere to the highest ethical and moral standards. Lawyers must have a minimum of fifteen years’ trial experience before they can be considered for Fellowship.

Norris practices in the area of litigation, with a focus on defending extra contractual claims against insurers. He has handled matters that resulted in published opinions from the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals, the South Carolina Supreme Court, and the South Carolina Court of Appeals. Norris has been recognized by The Best Lawyers in America® in Insurance Law (2021).

Norris received his JD from University of South Carolina School of Law in 1980, and completed his undergraduate degree at the University of California, Los Angeles in 1976.
