Firefighter Calendar Model to Appear on “The Doctors” TV Program

 

CHARLESTON, SC – The Charleston Firefighter Calendar will receive another round of national TV exposure

when “Mr. September,” Mt. Pleasant Firefighter Jason Myrick, appears on “The Doctors” syndicated TV Program,Tuesday, April 21.  Myrick’s appearance will focus on fire safety. “The Doctors” airs on WCBD-TV every weekday at 2pm.

Screen Shot 2015-04-20 at 3.29.51 PMProducers of the TV show saw The Charleston Area Firefighter Calendar on sale online at www.CharlestonFirefighterCalendar.com and then contacted Charleston Animal Society to see if they could book one of the firefighters for their program. “Their producer loved our firefighter calendar and specifically that all proceeds go to save injured, abused and abandoned animals. She thought having Mr. September on their show would be an excellent way to raise awareness and funding to help us save more lives,” said Charleston Animal Society Director of Development Caroline Eller. The members of The Doctors studio audience will each receive a 2015 Calendar as a gift.

Since December, the Charleston Area Firefighter Calendar has received worldwide media attention in print, online and on television. The Today Show’s Kathy Lee and Hoda program publicized the calendar on their morning show. And last month, Fox News Anchor Dana Perino praised Charleston Animal Society’s No Kill campaign on her program, “The Five.”

“Whenever we can get our message out to a wide audience, it helps us save lives” said Charleston Animal Society Chief Executive Officer Joe Elmore. Myrick’s appearance on “The Doctors” is scheduled to air Tuesday, April 21, 2015.
