Charleston environmental/mass torts litigation Attorney Yancey McLeod III joins Womble Bond Dickinson

Experienced environmental law, toxic tort and product liability litigation attorney Yancey McLeod III is the newest member of the Womble Bond Dickinson team. McLeod has joined the firm’s Charleston office as a Partner.
McLeod’s toxic tort experience includes defending companies in high-stakes asbestos and benzene exposure personal injury cases. He also represents companies in related environmental litigation and compliance, including guiding them in CERCLA, South Carolina Brownfields Program, underground storage tank, and environmental remediation matters. In addition, McLeod counsels companies in compliance and risk assessment issues related to buying and selling remediated and contaminated properties.
McLeod’s litigation experience includes defending companies in personal injury cases, including motor vehicle collisions and slip and fall litigation, as well as litigating construction defect and product defect claims. He has represented national insurance companies in insurance coverage litigation.

McLeod comes to Womble Bond Dickinson from Bouch McLeod LLC, a Charleston law firm he co-founded.
He is a graduate of the University of South Carolina (BS in biology) and the Charleston School of Law. In addition, he holds a Masters of Studies in Environmental Laws from the Vermont Law School.
