Charleston Equity initiative announces guest speakers for Charleston Equity Concert

Charleston Equity Initiative announced the guest speakers for the Charleston Equity Concert, a virtual benefit concert featuring local black artists and local black community guest speakers. The concert will be streamed on various platforms, such as Facebook Live, on Saturday, June 20th at 6 PM. Proceeds from donations to the concert will go to support Charleston-area black 501(c)(3) charities.
It was announced that SC State Senator Marlon Kimpson and SC State Representative David Mack are the guest speakers for the community event.
“We are proud to add Senator Kimpson and Representative Mack, pillars of our Charleston community, to our team at Charleston Equity Initiative,” says Ke’Von Singleton, founder of the Initiative. “The guest speakers will be sharing our message of racial unity and hope for the Charleston community.”
