Charleston K&L Gates Partner contributes to Chambers USA Regional Real Estate 2021 Guide, among three from office recognized in 2021 Chambers USA

Three partners from the Charleston, S.C., office of the global law firm K&L Gates LLP have been recognized in the 2021 edition of Chambers USA. In addition, one of those lawyers –partner Matthew Norton — authored the ‘Law and Practice South Carolina’ section of the Chambers USA Regional Real Estate 2021 Guide, part of the Chambers Global Practice Guides. The Law and Practice Section provides clients with legal insight needed to make practical business decisions in certain jurisdictions. James S. Bruce (South Carolina Corporate/M&A)
Mr. Bruce is a founding partner of the firm’s Charleston office and represents clients in mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and other business transactions. J. Walker Coleman IV (South Carolina Labor and Employment)
Mr. Coleman is a founding partner and the Managing Partner of the firm’s Charleston office, as well as a member of the firm’s Advisory Council. He is an experienced litigator who handles employment and trade secret misappropriation cases for local, national, and international companies in virtually every industry. He also represents employers before state and federal employment and labor boards and departments, assists companies with due diligence associated with the sale and acquisition of domestic and foreign businesses, and counsels employers of all sizes on myriad labor and employment issues.

Matthew J. Norton (South Carolina Real Estate)
Mr. Norton is a founding partner of the firm’s Charleston office and serves on the firm’s Advisory Council in his capacity as a leader of the firmwide Real Estate practice area. He has a broad practice focusing on all aspects of commercial real estate that includes significant experience in the resort and hospitality area. He is the author of the South Carolina chapter of the recently published Chambers USA Regional Real Estate 2021 Guide.
