Charleston Law School launches mobile version of its website

New flexibility will help people with smartphones get info more quickly
 
CHARLESTON, SC – August 13, 2012 – The Charleston School of Law islaunching a mobile version of its website to make it easier forsmartphone users to access information quickly about the school.
 
“The new mobile website is a simple and quick reference guide to what’shappening on campus,” said Graham Ervin, director of special events andinstitutional advancement.  “It highlights news, events, library hoursand a detailed campus map that connects to Google maps. Another helpfulfeature is the directory, which allows users to quickly find contactinformation for faculty and staff.”
 
Users that visit the law school at www.CharlestonLaw.edu via a smartphone will be automatically directed to the new mobile site,which features easy access to the most popular parts of the school’sfull website.  The mobile site is designed to work with Android,BlackBerry and iPhone devices.  Users should be able to accessinformation much more quickly because of limited images on the mobilesite.
 
According to a June 2012 Pew Research study, almost one in five cellphone owners do most of their online browsing on their phone, instead ofa computer or other device.  Of the 88 percent of American adults whoown cell phones, 55 percent use the device to go online.
