Charleston Metro Chamber of Commerce announces 2023 Board of Directors

The Charleston Metro Chamber announced the 2023 Board of Directors. Board members, who lead the Chamber, represent corporations and businesses of all sizes from every business sector. Each Director serves as a principle, within their organization, and their knowledge of their industry and passion for advancing our region is what elevated them to volunteer leadership of the Chamber.
The 2023 Board will lead the Chamber in its 250th year of continuous operations. While upholding this important historical track record, leadership will look to invite members and allied stakeholders to ready the metro area for the next 50 years. A “better together” mindset and strategies, focused on addressing the Chamber’s top advancement opportunities, will fuel the year.
The Executive Committee and Chamber Board are led by 2023 Chairman, Joe Grech, Chief Financial Officer of South Carolina Federal Credit Union and President of SCF Solutions, LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of South Carolina Federal Credit Union, 2023 Chairman-elect, Matt Brewer, President and CEO, Choate Construction Company, and Chamber President & CEO Bryan Derreberry.
South Carolina Federal Credit Union has been a dedicated member of the Chamber for more than 30 years and Grech will serve as the second Chair from their organization. This year, Chairman Grech has asked the Board to join him in pursuing equal access to living, learning and earning opportunities for all Greater Charlestonians; increasing attainable workforce housing, in all three counties, proximate to employment centers; completing new and major infrastructure upgrades and assuring that the Lowcountry Rapid Transit completion timeline is achieved; and strengthening the metro’s ability to train, attract and advance a skilled 21st Century workforce.
