Charleston Metro Chamber of Commerce Announces Finalists for Honors Night Awards

CHARLESTON, SC – The Charleston Metro Chamber of Commerce announces the finalists for the 2015 Honors Night awards. The finalists represent business and community leaders with exemplary commitment to the region’s economic development and quality of life.

The winner of each award will be announced at the Chamber’s annual Honors Night award ceremony and reception on Thursday, September 10 before an audience of business and community leaders and elected officials. The event will be held at the Francis Marion Hotel from 6 to 9 p.m.

2015 Honors Night Finalists:

The Trailblazer – recognizes an organization that has created a cutting-edge product or service.

  • Ingevity

The Beacon – recognizes a project or structure that elevates aesthetics and improves quality of life for the region.

  • Joseph P. Riley, Jr. Park
  • Park Circle
  • Trident Technical College, Nursing and Science Building

The Rock Star – recognizes an organization that has experienced a significant achievement resulting in a positive impact on the region.

  • DIG South
  • WestRock Land and Development, for the development of Nexton
  • The Post and Courier

The Pillar – recognizes an organization known for long-standing excellence.

  • Joint Base Charleston
  • LS3P
  • Roper St. Francis Healthcare

The Milestone – recognizes a small business (max. 50 employees) that illustrates excellence in entrepreneurship, employee relations, diversity and community contribution and involvement.

  • Freeland Construction Co., Inc.
  • Wonder Works

Two additional awards will be awarded during the event. The One to Watch recognizes a young professional with outstanding professional success in the business arena demonstrating impeccable leadership qualities in the community. The prestigious Joseph P. Riley Leadership Award recipient will also be honored, celebrating a visionary leader doing extraordinary work to strengthen the community and who is an outstanding community volunteer that has demonstrated a lifetime of leadership.
