The Charleston Metro Chamber has announced their third-annual Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Conference, themed “Mutual Prosperity: Creating an Equitable Community.” The conference will be held on April 5 from 8:30to 4:30.
“Creating an equitable community is vital to the continued growth and stability of this region,” said Richard Waring, Vice President of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion. “Opportunities to promote awareness are key to extending the reach of the Chamber’s work and allowing members of our community to take part in Charleston’s growth.”
The Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Conference began with a goal to bring valuable conversations to the forefront. It has since expanded to taking actionable steps towards creating impactful solutions in our region. Now in its third year, the DE&I Conference will increase fluency and understanding of how we can build mutual prosperity in the pursuit of creating an equitable community.
The conference will feature powerful and inspirational speakers, valuable resources and knowledge and a deep look at the Lowcountry Minority Business Ecosystem report – all aimed at helping us assess what is needed to create systemic and equitable change for our business community to thrive.
This conference is a part of the Chamber’s work in Diversity, Equity and Inclusion to ensure our region’s workforce has equitable opportunities to prosper. Learn more at www.charlestonchamber.org/dei
