Charleston Promise Neighborhood welcomes two new Board members

Charleston Promise Neighborhood (CPN) has welcomed two new members to its Board of Directors, Jenni McCarty and Dr. Claire MacGeorge.
Jenni McCarty is a shareholder in Baker Donelson’s Charleston office and vice chair of the Firm’s Labor & Employment Group. With over 20 years of experience, she advises employers on hiring, compliance, workplace policies, and employment-related legislation, including AI developments. Jenni also drafts employment documents, conducts trainings, and helps businesses navigate wage and hour compliance, workforce reductions, and internal investigations. As a seasoned litigator, she defends employers against claims of discrimination, harassment, wrongful termination, and contract disputes, including class action lawsuits involving wage and hour laws. Jenni is excited to join the CPN Board and looks forward to contributing her expertise to support its mission and impact in the community.
Claire MacGeorge, MD, MSCR, is an Associate Professor of Pediatrics and Medical Director of School-Based Telehealth Clinics. Her clinical and research focus is leveraging telehealth for ADHD and asthma care. She earned her medical degree from the University of Nebraska Medical Center. She completed her pediatric residency, Academic Generalist Fellowship, and master’s in clinical research at the Medical University of South Carolina. Since joining MUSC’s faculty in 2016, she has been involved in telehealth research, medical education, and pediatric care. A junior investigator in the IDEA States Pediatric Clinical Trial Network, she works to improve ADHD care through remote monitoring. A dedicated supporter of the KidsWell program, she is honored to be a part of the CPN board.
