Charleston Shop Curator Andrea Serrano to host Redefined grand opening party

April 5, 2016

Local artist Daniel Velasco slated to be the official artist for the event

CHARLESTON, SC – Redefined is pleased to announce that Andrea Serrano, the Charleston Shop Curator, will host the Redefined Charleston grand opening celebration scheduled to take place on April 9th at the 113 Church Street location. The boutique, which has been open since Mar. 1, will be open extended hours as the grand opening event will run from 6 to 8 p.m. Refreshments and light fare will be served.

Serrano, a former New York fashion stylist, now spends her days as a freelance stylist who produces for editorial, advertising, and commercial shoots. Serrano has been the pillar of the Charleston fashion scene for well over a decade and writes a highly successful fashion blog and shopping guide that influences an extensive audience reaching well beyond the Holy City skyline.

“We are absolutely thrilled to have Andrea host such an important event for us,” said co-owner Jamie Boehmer. “Her passion for fashion is only surpassed by her incredible eye for style and her ability to connect with so many people.”

Joining Serrano will be artist Daniel Velasco. Velasco’s artwork provided the backdrop for Charleston Fashion Week and he was recently featured at an exhibition at the Grand Bohemian hotel in Charleston.

“Daniel created the artwork for the Redefined logo and really captured the essence of who Jamie and I are,” said co-owner Heather Martinez. “We are excited to have Daniel at the grand opening and look forward to seeing the customized portraits he will create. Daniel is truly an amazing artist.”
Redefined is also pleased to feature Ash Hoffman jewelry. Hoffman, a native of Myrtle Beach, S.C., won the inaugural Jewelry TV (JTV) Rockstar Designer Competition. Hoffman will make her first appearance on JTV on April 8th at 8 p.m. to promote her new line of jewelry, exclusively designed for the JTV audience. As well, Redefined is excited to promote the artwork of Belinda Colozzi, an artist, illustrator, and designer based in Arizona. The essence of Colozzi’s work can be summed in her quote “Life is too short not to live beautifully.”
