Chase After a Cure Gala Raises $140,000 for Childhood Cancer Research

March 3, 2015

CHARLESTON, SC – The seventh annual Chase After a Cure Gala on Jan. 31 raised more than $140,000 to support childhood cancer research at the Medical University of South Carolina Children’s Hospital. The sold-out event, “An Evening in Paris,” featured Charleston vocalist Quiana Parler, live and silent auctions and food and drink from Charleston area restaurants.

This year’s Gala brought in the most money ever for its Fund the Need initiative, in which attendees donate to a particular research need at MUSC. This year’s funds will assist in getting a clinical trial off the ground.
