Chaun Pflug Joins Nexsen Pruet's Real Estate Group

CHARLESTON, SC – December 31, 2007 – Chaun W. Pflug has joined Nexsen Pruet’s Charleston office and will work in the commercial real estate practice group.

Previously, Pflug worked with a law firm where he counseled local, regional, and national residential and commercial developers. He also worked as outside counsel to the S.C. Department of Health and Environmental Control in federal court cases involving Superfund and handled RCRA related issues.

Pflug has served as a clerk in the New York Mayor’s Office of Environmental Coordination, where he conducted legal research on city and state environmental issues during the administrations of Rudolph Giuliani and Michael Bloomberg.

His experience includes residential and commercial real estate transactions and general business and environmental litigation work.
Additionally, he has handled large land and commercial property transactions; worked on environmental issues related to a major project in the Neck Area of Charleston; and negotiated a planned unit development agreement with the Town of Monks Corner. 

He is a member of the American Bar Association, Charleston County Bar Association, and South Carolina Bar Association.  He is a former member of the Charleston Home Builders Association and the Rotary Club of Charleston.

Pflug earned his undergraduate degree in Biology from Fairfield University in Connecticut where he was recipient of the DeCamp Scholarship and his law degree from New York Law School in 2003 where he received a New York Law Scholarship.
