Children’s Charities of the Midlands Donates $12,000

COLUMBIA, SC – February 18, 2008 – Children’s Charities of the Midlands is proud to announce that it has donated over $50,000 since its inception to various charities in the Midlands of South Carolina. Eight different Midlands charities dedicated to helping children recently received donations the Children’s Charities of the Midlands, a non-profit, 501(c)(3) organization located at Lake Carolina. In total, the Children’s Charities of the Midlands distributed $12,000 from 2007 earnings to these various charities.

The eight charities are: Camp Discovery, Camp Kemo, Children’s Chance, Healthy Learners, Palmetto Place Children’s Emergency Shelter, YMCA’s Partner’s for Youth, Sexual Trauma Services and the Indian Waters Council. 

The $12,000 gift was raised in Lake Carolina during 2007 through various charitable events including the popular and successful Fall Wine Festival held in October.
