Choate Construction Company promotes Michael Sutton to Director of Preconstruction

Choate Construction Company is pleased to announce Michael Sutton has been promoted to Director of Preconstruction in Charleston. After 7 years with Choate Construction and more than 15 years garnering valuable industry experience in corporate, industrial, entertainment, government and many other market sectors, Michael’s expertise and leadership will continue to serve Choate’s preconstruction team in pursuit of operational excellence on behalf of its clients.

Michael has extensive experience leading a variety of notable projects for Choate, most recently the Credit One Stadium renovation which earned the 2023 Pinnacle Award presented by the Carolinas Associated General Contractors (CAGC). His breadth of knowledge in preconstruction best practices has directly contributed to several other successful Choate projects, including Palmetto Logistics Distribution Center, Mankiewicz Coatings Production Facility, Knapheide Manufacturing Facility, Charleston Water Systems corporate renovation, Riviera Theater renovations, and numerous others.
Championing proactive involvement, close collaboration with ownership and trade partners, and comprehensive approaches to ensure a successful delivery, Michael is expertly poised to shepherd Choate’s preconstruction operations in Charleston and help clients navigate the booming market with smart strategies designed for long-term success.
