Choate receives two awards for Excellence in Construction, ABC Carolinas

Choate Construction Company was recognized with two Merit Awards at the 2022 Excellence in Construction (EIC) Awards, presented by the Associated Builders and Contractors of the Carolinas (ABCC). As these Awards honor the year’s most outstanding construction projects and contractors for remarkable achievements in quality, leadership, safety, innovation, and inclusion, diversity, and equity, it was an honor for Choate Construction to be celebrated among such esteemed industry peers for the work performed on the Credit One Stadium and Zoetis projects.
The Credit One Stadium team earned a Merit Award in the Renovation/Restoration category for their notable work on the 167,093-SF project in Charleston, South Carolina. After using enough concrete to fill a tennis court 45-feet tall and installing more than 200 miles of wiring, the project team, alongside key stakeholders and skilled trade partners, modernized one of the most historic sporting venues in the region to offer an enhanced guest experience and attract world-class talent to the Coastal City.
Recognized in the Commercial $10M to $25M category, the Zoetis research laboratory and office facility project in Durham, North Carolina included a 79,000-SF built-to-suit expansion for the world’s largest producer of medicine and vaccinations for animals. Through dedicated partnership, consistent communication, and trust between all partners, the project team delivered this advanced research and lab facility within a tight 12-month schedule.
