Chocolate Artworks hosts morning story time and tasting event for little chocolate lovers in Mauldin

October 26, 2026

Local sweet shop Chocolate Artworks is inviting preschoolers and their parents to discover the sweet world of candy-making with a morning program designed specifically for the community’s youngest culinary enthusiasts.

Chocolatier and shop owner Peggy Cudd will lead Chocolate Artworks Story Time on Wednesday, November 4, at 9:00 a.m. at the artisan shop, located at 105b Miller Road in Mauldin.

The 45-minute interactive session is tailored for children ages 3 and older, pairing storybook learning with hands-on activities that explore where chocolate comes from, how cacao beans are harvested, and how confectioners turn raw ingredients into handcrafted sweets.

Stories, Tastings, and Creative Crafts

Geared toward early-morning family fun, the program blends sweet treats with creative play:

  • The Story of Chocolate: An engaging, age-appropriate look at the origin of cocoa beans, tropical farming, and the traditional process of making chocolate confections.

  • Tasting Experience: Young attendees get to sample sweet chocolate treats crafted right inside the shop.

  • Coloring Activity: A themed coloring station where kids can sit back, express their creativity, and take home their artwork.
