Dried fruit, nuts, and dark chocolate make this a special treat that kids can help make at home.

    • 2 cups dark chocolate chips (or semi-sweet)
    • 1 cup chow mein noodles
    • 1/2 cup sliced almonds
    • 1/2 cup raisins

Directions:

    1. Lay waxed paper on counter or flat surface.
    2. Melt chocolate chips slowly over low heat in heavy saucepan stirring constantly just until melted.
    3. Remove from heat and stir in chow mein noodles.
    4. Quickly stir in chopped nuts and raisins.
    5. Immediately drop by spoonful onto waxed paper.
    6. Cool completely before handling.
    7. If possible, refrigerate to harden more quickly.

Makes approximately 24 cookies.
