CHS Girls Soccer Team Defeats Newberry

The Clinton High School girls varsity soccer team had another impressive outing on Tuesday night with a 7-0 victory over Newberry in a time shortened match. The Lady Devils attack was led by Freshman Lauren Wargo and her 5, 1st half goals. Scoring also were freshmen Riley Gowan and Lindsey Pysell. The defense played another near perfect match allowing no score or shots on goal. The defensive effort was spearheaded by Sophomore Anna Kiley and her excellent performance in the defensive midfield.
The JV program also brought home a 2-0 victory over the Bulldogs. 8th graders Gracie Baker and Sydney Minor scored in the 1st half and starting keeper Hannah Nelson shut down any scoring opportunities from the Newberry JV squad.”
