CHS Students Earn EKG Certification

May 24, 2023

A group of Clinton High School students recently earned their EKG certification.

Health Science students in Dawn Kuykendall’s class have been working hard all year in preparation of taking an exam for EKG certification. This was a new addition for our Health Science students, as this year they are working on both EKG certification and Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) certification. While CCMA results are not yet in, we are excited for our first group of EKG certified technicians.

Students in the program include Mia Barr, Hope Conaway, MC Dailey, Autumn Hill, Conner Howard, Myisha Jeter, Mya Patterson, Alexis Shockley, Madison Smith, Montasia Smith, Yazmeen Taylor, Dazhia Todd, and Hannah Wargo.

The Director of Secondary and Career/Technical Programs, Josie Kate Haupfear, says, “Our Health Science teacher and students have been working hard all year to prepare for this certification. We are proud of these students for attaining this certification, as they work to pursue their future career goals.”
