City announces Purple Partnership during Domestic Violence Awareness Month

The City has announced a “Purple Partnership” in observance of Domestic Violence Awareness Month. During the City Council meeting, held on October, 18th, Mayor Pro Tempore Tameika Isaac Devine acknowledged the City’s Purple Partnership with Staples Supplies. Throughout the month of October, in honor of taking steps against domestic violence, Staples Supplies has held toiletry drives and all collected supplies will be donated to Sistercare.

Sistercare is an organization that provides services for victims of domestic violence, and the only organization that specifically offers shelter and support services for survivors and their children.

  • Baby wipes
  • Cell phones
  • Cleaning agents (Ajax, etc.)
  • Diapers (all sizes)
  • Hair relaxers
  • Nonperishable food
  • Paper towels
  • Pillows
  • Sheets (twin and double)
  • Toilet paper
  • Trash bages (Extra-Large)
  • Vehicles (Used & Running)
  • Washing detergent
