City Center Partnership Announces the Addition of Boyd Jones to the Board of Directors

COLUMBIA, SC – June 15, 2009 – City Center Partnership is pleased to announce that Boyd Jones, Executive Vice President for NBSC, has joined the Board of Directors. Jones will join the 30-member board in overseeing City Center Partnership’s mission: to focus on filling vacancies in commercial properties, retaining existing downtown businesses and recruiting new ones, expanding the downtown residential base, and creating a safe, clean, and friendly downtown environment.

 About Boyd Jones

With more than 28 years of banking experience, Boyd Jones joined NBSC in 1991 and is the current Executive Vice President and Region Executive for Lexington, Richland, York and Kershaw counties. He oversees the banking operations for all these regions. Jones received a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from the University of South Carolina. He also graduated from the South Carolina Bankers School and is a graduate of the Graduate School of Banking of the South at Louisiana State University. Jones is a Series 7 licensed agent with Synovus Capital Markets Group.

 In addition, Jones is involved in many community organizations and currently serves as a member of the Executive Committee for the Indian Waters Council and Boys Scouts of America. He is also on the board of Senior Resources, is a member of the Board of Advisors for the Moore School of Business at the University of South Carolina and is on the Diaconate of First Presbyterian Church. Past community affiliations include: the Greater Columbia Chamber of Commerce, the Heart Association’s Heart Ball Committee, the Cultural Council of Richland and Lexington Counties, South Carolina Young Bankers Association, the Columbia Urban League and Jones served on the YWCA TWIN and the Kershaw County Chamber of Commerce.
