October 23, 2008

COLUMBIA, SC – City Center Partnership (CCP) is pleased to announce that the organization has been awarded a contract to provide its clean services to the Vista area.

CCP’s services will be provided on a probationary basis for 90 days. Two part-time clean team ambassadors have been hired and will be responsible for cleaning a total of 22 blocks from Assembly to Huger between Lady and Senate. The hours of operation will be from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Friday through Sunday, with the main focus on litter control, handbill removal, and small graffiti projects. In addition, the ambassadors will provide information and assistance to residents, visitors, and downtown workers and will continue to serve as a watchful eye for the Columbia Police Department.

“City Center Partnership was our first choice since they do such an extraordinary job in the Business Improvement District,” said Deirdre Mardon, director of the Vista Guild. “We are thrilled about the opportunity to join forces with City Center Partnership and bring our neighborhoods closer together.”
