City Council Highlights | September 19, 2023
September 20, 2023During this evening’s City Council meeting, Mayor Daniel Rickenmann proclaimed the week of September 17-September 23 as “Constitution Week” in the City of Columbia. This week honors the Framers of the Constitution for vigilantly protecting the freedoms that are guaranteed to us.
This meeting included an update on a mobile market that will help address areas in the City that may have food insecurity. The mobile market is a part of a new program that is to be announced.
The consent agenda portion of the meeting included several improvements and investments into City employees, including new vehicles for City departments and the allocation of a second set of bunker gear for our Columbia-Richland Fire Department.
This meeting also included a Zoning Public Hearing, ordinances-first reading, and several event resolutions.
