City of Cayce Announces Launch of New Web Site

August 6, 2008

CAYCE, SC – August 5, 2008 – The City of Cayce has a new presence on the Internet, with the launch of its revamped web site – www.cityofcayce-sc.gov.

“We envision our new site as the online source for Cayce residents, business leaders, and visitors to use as they look for information on city services, council meetings, and area events,” said City Manager John Sharpe. “We hope they will find the revised site an informative, useful and enjoyable resource.”

As the go-to place for all things regarding the city, the homepage includes information about city government, municipal services, city meetings, taxes and codes, job opportunities and doing business in Cayce. Residents have convenient access to paying their utility bill online, and city news and council meeting agendas are posted so they know what is going on in Cayce. The site also features a calendar of upcoming events, information on local attractions, maps and directions, tips for visitors and more.

“The new site also demonstrates Cayce’s strengths as a business location and we hope companies looking to expand their presence in the Midlands will check out Cayce’s pro-business environment,” added Cayce Mayor Bob Malpass. “The Council remains committed to enhancing economic development opportunities in our community and attracting new jobs for our citizens.”

The entire site has a fresh design appearance and user-friendly approach to make online navigation simple. Pictures of the city’s natural beauty and points of interest are scattered throughout for a visually pleasing experience.

Cayce contracted with VC3 Inc., a web development company based in Columbia, to revitalize the web site. VC3 was recognized last fall by the South Carolina Chamber of Commerce as one of the state’s fastest growing companies.
