City of Clinton Streets & Sanitation Department Adjusts Pickup Schedule Due to Equipment Limitations
June 23, 2025The City of Clinton’s Streets and Sanitation Department has issued an important service update regarding debris collection. Due to only one clam truck currently in operation, the department will be collecting limbs only during the week of June 23–27, 2025.
Last week, crews focused on collecting man-made debris, and moving forward, the department will alternate weeklybetween limb pickup and man-made debris removal until further notice.
City officials acknowledge the inconvenience and are asking residents for patience and understanding as the team works to maintain consistent service levels with limited equipment.
“We recognize that this change may be an inconvenience, and we’re doing our best to manage services with the resources we have,” said Clinton City Manager Joey Meadors. “Our goal is always to serve our residents efficiently, and we appreciate everyone’s patience and cooperation during this time. The good news is that a new truck is expected to arrive in July, so we’re hopeful we can have everything back to normal soon.”
For more information or questions about pickup schedules, residents are encouraged to contact the Public Works Department at 864-833-7520.
