City of Columbia Accepting Submissions for Praise Fest for Peace and Youth Violence Prevention Expo

The City of Columbia Parks and Recreation Department is accepting submissions for the Praise Fest for Peace concert and the Youth Violence Prevention Expo, both of which will be held during National Youth Violence Prevention Week in April.

The Parks and Recreation Department and the Columbia Police Department have partnered to host a series of youth violence prevention activities during the week of April 3-8.

The concert is scheduled for Sunday, April 3 from 4-6 p.m. and the expo will be held on Monday, April 4 from 6-8 p.m. Both events will be held at Dutch Square Mall, 421 Bush River Road.

Gospel choirs, praise dancers and/or mime ministries are encouraged to participate.

The Parks and Recreation Department is also accepting submissions for exhibitors. The Youth Violence Prevention Expo is open to agencies and organizations that support programs, resources, activities and events encouraging youth to make better life choices.

The deadline to apply for both events is Friday, March 25.
