City of Columbia and Eau Claire Baptist Church to announce details of “4 Block” Promise Initiative at upcoming press conference
April 14, 2025The “4 Block” Promise Community Engagement Initiative focuses on increasing engagement and community outreach by involving faith-based partners. Through this initiative, the City of Columbia Office of Neighborhood Safety and Engagement seeks to expand the city’s community footprint by working with faith-based partners to host community events at their place of worship, increase volunteer opportunities, offer safe space sessions, and collaborate to plan other outreach efforts within “4” blocks around each designated place of worship.
WHAT: Press conference to announce the “4 Block” Promise Community Engagement Initiative.
The press conference will also kick off the free mobile clothing drive organized by Dolly’s House of Clothing Ministry, located inside Eau Claire Baptist Church. The first stop of the clothing drive will be at Dorrah Randall Apartments on Saturday, April 26, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
