The Municipal Election Commission of the City of Columbia announces the general election for the City of Columbia to be held on Tuesday, November 5, 2019.
South Carolina law requires you to register to vote at least 30 days before the election. Citizens desiring to vote in the upcoming election must be registered in-person at the Richland County Elections and Voter Registration Office, 2020 Hampton Street between 9:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 5, 2019; online at www.scvotes.org by Sunday, October 6, 2019; or by mail postmarked to P.O. Box 192 Columbia, SC 29202 by Monday, October 7, 2019.
The absentee period will begin on Monday, October 7, 2019. This includes both in-person absentee as well as mail-in absentee.
