City of Columbia Police Department to host peace walk to promote unity and community safety
April 21, 2026The City of Columbia Police Department will host a “Peace Walk for a Safer Community” on Saturday, April 25, 2026, inviting residents to come together in support of unity, understanding, and public safety.
The event will take place from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., with the walk beginning at Central Baptist Church, located at 3625 Clement Road. Community members of all ages are encouraged to attend and participate in this collective effort to strengthen relationships and build a safer Columbia.
The Peace Walk is designed to foster meaningful connections between residents and law enforcement while creating space for positive engagement and shared purpose. Through this community-centered event, the Columbia Police Department aims to highlight the importance of working together to promote safety and mutual respect across the city.
