City of Laurens Partners with Sanders High School Alumni Assocation for MLK Day of Service Parade and Commemoration Ceremony

Saturday, January 14 marks the 25th anniversary of the Sanders Alumni Association’s MLK Day of Service. This year, the City of Laurens is partnering with the Sanders Alumni Association for the MLK Day of Service parade and commemoration ceremony.

The parade will start at 11:00 a.m. beginning at West Laurens Street and end at The Ballroom on Harper Street Ext. with a commemoration luncheon.

“The City of Laurens is excited to officially celebrate the Martin Luther King, Jr. Parade and Day of Service. We are a community of people from so many different backgrounds, and we would not be who we are without the contributions of all,” said Mayor Nathan Senn. “I am proud that we are working together to build bridges and improve our future together, and this special day is a great way of showcasing our shared commitment to respect and equality under the law.”
