City of Laurens Reminds Residents: Less Than 60 Days Remain in Clean Up Crack Down Window
May 3, 2026The City of Laurens is reminding residents, property owners, and businesses that fewer than 60 days remain in the Clean Up Crack Down compliance window, which runs through June 30.
Launched April 1, the initiative gives property owners a 90-day grace period to address property maintenance issues without fear of penalties. City officials are encouraging the community to use the remaining time to make needed improvements — whether that means clearing overgrown vegetation, addressing structural concerns, or cleaning up debris on private property.
The city has emphasized that no penalties will be issued during the April 1 through June 30 window, making now the ideal time for property owners to get ahead of any outstanding issues before enforcement resumes.
City officials say the goal of Clean Up Crack Down is to make Laurens cleaner, safer, and more welcoming for everyone who lives, works, and visits there. Residents are encouraged to take advantage of the remaining compliance period and reach out to the City of Laurens with any questions about what qualifies under the initiative.
