The City of Columbia’s Office of Business Opportunities and Columbia Water in conjunction with MBDA Business Center – Columbia, SC to host Waterline Contractors’ Training Series. This program offers a practical approach to successfully bidding, implementing, and closing out a City of Columbia waterline project. Attendees will learn practical strategies, build their capacity to submit completed bid packages, and performance on water and sewer projects.
The Waterline Contractors’ Training Series will consist of weekly sessions:
- Week 1: Reviewing Plans and Specifications

- Week 2: Performing a Site Visit
October 15, 2019
- Week 3: Preparing a Quote/Bid
October 22, 2019
- Week 4: Managing the Pre-Construction Phase
October 29, 2019
- Week 5: Managing the Construction Phase
November 6, 2019
- Week 6: Conducting Contract Closeout
November 13, 2019
This series is free and open to those currently working in the water and sewer industry that wish to expand into waterline construction. Registration is required.
