Clawson and Staubes attorney, Penn Ely becomes Certified Mediator

January 15, 2020

Clawson and Staubes LLC attorney Penn Ely has received his certification as a Circuit Court Mediator by the SC Board of Arbitrator and Mediator Certification. As a litigator, Ely is used to resolving cases in the courtroom. Now as a mediator, he hopes to bring resolution to conflicts before they reach the courtroom.

“Mediation is my favorite day in a lawsuit,” said Ely. “People get closure, or at least a better understanding of their case. I became a mediator for the same reason I became a lawyer: to help people, and I look forward to doing so as a mediator.”

Ely is an attorney in the firm’s Charleston office where he litigates all types of matters. He will focus his mediation practice in the areas of personal injury and insurance related matters.
