CLEMSON, SC — Clemson University’s School of Accountancy and Finance in the College of Business and Behavioral Science has been endorsed by the Institute of Management Accountants (IMA).

The institute’s endorsement of Clemson’s accounting program recognizes the high educational standards that enable Clemson students to pursue and earn the Certified Management Accountant (CMA) credential.

“Endorsement by IMA is a great achievement that will help our undergraduate accounting students better prepare for a rewarding career,” said Frances Kennedy, director of the School of Accountancy and Finance. “This is a testament to the quality of faculty and curriculum that we have at Clemson.”

Achieving the globally recognized CMA credential demonstrates mastery of financial planning, analysis, control and decision support, as well as professional ethics.

“IMA is pleased to welcome Clemson University to the growing list of schools that support the CMA exam program and have achieved a consistent standard of excellence,” said Raef Lawson, the institute’s vice president of research.

The School of Accountancy and Finance offers a Bachelor of Science in Accounting, a Bachelor of Science in Financial Management and a Master of Professional Accountancy.
