Clemson Language and International Trade Conference to explore 'Business Without Borders'

CLEMSON, SC – March 29, 2012 – Language andInternational Trade Conference Wednesday, April 4, at the HendrixStudent Center. Focusing on the theme “Business Without Borders,” thisyear’s conference features speakers from Toyota, Teamstudio, BMW, theWalt Disney Co. and more.

The keynote speaker for the conference is Hayashi Nampachi, seniortechnical executive for Toyota Motor Corp. Nampachi will speak on “TheToyota Way” at 10:15 a.m. Nampachi joined the Toyota Motor Corp. in1966. In 2009, he served as director of Toyota before returning to hiscurrent position as senior technical executive. 

Ben Green, vice president for Asia Pacific Teamstudio, will speak on“Dialogues Across Borders” at 11 a.m. Green worked as an account managerfor Teamstudio, a privately held software company based in Beverly,Mass., from 2005 to 2007. He rejoined the company in January 2011 as thevice president of the Asia Pacific office in Tokyo. Prior to rejoiningTeamstudio, Green worked as business development director foran interactive services firm called Cyberwoven and as a businessrecruiter in the Global Business Development division of the SouthCarolina Department of Commerce in Columbia.

The conference will include a panel discussion with alumni fromClemson’s language and international trade program at 1:15 p.m. and aroundtable session with alumni and corporate representatives at 2:45p.m.
