Clemson to webcast wind-turbine facility groundbreaking ceremony
October 25, 2010NORTHCHARLESTON, SC – October 25, 2010 – Clemson University will stream liveon the Internet Thursday’s groundbreaking ceremony for the wind-turbinedrive-train testing facility at the Clemson University RestorationInstitute.

Speakers at the event will include Clemson University President JamesF. Barker; David H. On Nov. 23, 2009, the U.S. Department of Energy awarded the RestorationInstitute and its partners a $45 million grant, which was combined with$53 million of matching funds, to build and operate a large-scalewind-turbine drive-train testing facility at the institute’s researchcampus on the former Charleston Navy base.
