Clinton Canopy Strikes Again in Efforts to Beautify Clinton

March 16, 2022

Clinton Canopy has a knack for taking an eye sore or bland space and transforming it into something beautiful. They have done it again.

Last week members of the group planted a bed of blueberry bushes and a fig tree at Oak Street Park.  The barren ground will eventually bloom and bear fruit.

This is the fourth park they have enhanced with blueberry bushes. The other parks are Pine Haven, Martha Dendy, and Pine Street. Funding for the work at Oak Street came from a Community Assistance grant. The plants at the first three parks have already started bearing fruit. The freeze of this past weekend will mean no crop this year on these new ones at Oak Street Park.

So what’s next for Clinton Canopy?  Look for something to happen around the West Main Street parking lot.
