Clinton Community Garden to Celebrate Community Resilience at ‘Gathering in the Garden’ Party on October 14th
October 6, 2024In the midst of the ongoing clean-up from the destruction caused by Hurricane Helene, the Clinton Community Garden feels now is the perfect time to come together for our annual Gathering in The Garden. For that reason, we will not delay the event but celebrate our community as planned.
Board of Directors, Clinton Community Garden
The Clinton Community Garden invites the public to join in celebrating its founding leaders, Rev. Blake Harwell and Rev. Steven Evans, as well as volunteers from Presbyterian College and Prisma Health, during a special “Gathering in the Garden” party on Monday, October 14th. The event will be held from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the garden, located across from Friendship AME Church at 1118 S Bell Street in Clinton, SC.
This community-focused celebration will feature live music, raffle prizes, free food, and crafts for children. Prisma Health will also offer free health screenings, contributing to the garden’s mission of fostering wellness and togetherness among neighbors.
The Clinton Community Garden was founded to educate and empower the local community by strengthening connections through food—whether by growing, cooking, preserving, or sharing it. The “Gathering in the Garden” event is an opportunity to recognize the efforts of those who have contributed to the success of this project and to enjoy an evening of fun and fellowship.
All are welcome to attend this free event and participate in a family-friendly evening that emphasizes community support, healthy living, and appreciation for the volunteers and organizations that help keep the garden growing strong.
