Clinton High Golf Team Makes History with Region Championship Win

The Clinton High School Red Devil golf team has set a new standard for excellence with their recent triumph, securing the school’s first-ever region championship in golf. This remarkable achievement came to fruition this past Monday as the team demonstrated their skill and determination on the course.

Facing strong competition from Emerald, Chester, Union, and Woodruff, the Red Devils delivered an outstanding performance, clinching victory with a winning score of 322. Leading the charge was Mia Carles, whose impressive round of 78 earned her the title of medalist for the match.

The success didn’t stop there, as several other team members showcased their talent, securing spots on the all-region team. Luke McMurray and Aiden Bragg contributed stellar performances, each posting a score of 80, earning them second place in the region. Gabi Carles also made her mark with a commendable score of 84.

Looking ahead, the Red Devils are now setting their sights on the Upper State tournament scheduled for Monday, May 6th. With their sights firmly set on a state tournament berth, the team is gearing up to face their next challenge with determination and focus.

All eyes are now on the upcoming tournament as the Red Devils aim to extend their winning streak and represent Clinton High School with pride. Go Big Red!
