Clinton High’s Elizabeth Reid Named SCACA Mary Dula Athlete of the Year
June 2, 2025Clinton High School standout Elizabeth Reid has been named the 2025 Mary Dula Athlete of the Year by the South Carolina Athletic Coaches Association (SCACA), a prestigious recognition awarded annually to a senior who excels in multiple sports while demonstrating leadership, performance, and sportsmanship.
Presented as part of the Dula Awards, the honor places Reid among the top high school athletes in the state and comes with a $500 college scholarship. She will be officially recognized at the SCACA Awards and Hall of Fame Banquetduring the SCACA All-Sports Clinic this July.
A multi-sport athlete for Clinton High School, Reid signed in March to continue her athletic career at Lander University, where she will compete on the cross country team.
The Dula Awards celebrate student-athletes who not only compete at a high level, but who embody the values of teamwork, character, and excellence across their athletic careers.
Elizabeth Reid’s selection reflects her dedication both on and off the field, and is a proud moment for Clinton High School and Laurens County School District 56.
