Closet Clean-Out Meets Book Club: ‘Sip and Swap’ Community Event Coming to Simpsonville This July
June 10, 2026Local women looking to refresh their wardrobes, discover a new beach read, and connect with their community have a unique opportunity lined up next month.
The Beauty Boost Greenville, a community organization dedicated to empowerment and connection for women, has announced its upcoming Sip and Swap event. The casual, interactive gathering is scheduled for Thursday, July 16, 2026, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the popular 1885 Taproom in downtown Simpsonville.
Organizers describe the event as the ultimate combination of a closet clean-out and a neighborhood book club. Attendees are encouraged to bring a few gently loved clothing pieces they no longer wear, alongside a book they have recently finished. Guests will then have the chance to trade their items for something entirely new to them.
“It’s about easy conversation, good drinks, and that fun feeling of leaving with a fresh find,” the organization shared in its event overview.
The choice of venue adds to the evening’s relaxed atmosphere. Located in the historic Burdette Building on East Curtis Street, 1885 Taproom offers a rotating selection of local craft beers, a diverse wine menu, and an outdoor patio, providing the perfect backdrop for a social “girls’ night out.”
Whether arriving solo to meet new friends or coming with a group, the event is structured to foster local networking and easy-going conversations.
