CNC Cabinetry expands into South Carolina with 109,000-square-foot lease facilitated by Colliers International

February 1, 2021

The largest manufacturer and distributor of kitchen and bathroom cabinetry and countertops in the Northeast, CNC Cabinetry, was represented by Dillon Swayngim of Colliers International in the lease of their first facility in South Carolina near Exit 66 in Spartanburg. The tenant was referred by Travis Hicks and Chase Clancy of Colliers in Austin, Texas.

This will be the company’s fourth expansion in the United States, with headquarters in New Jersey and existing locations in Texas, Nevada and Florida. Their expanded operations in Spartanburg will occupy 109,000 square feet of newly built speculative industrial space by developer Rooker. Rooker has developed 559,000 square feet of Class A industrial space at Spartan Ridge Logistics Center since 2018. Following the CNC Cabinetry lease, only 176,800 square feet remain available for lease within the development.

“CNC Cabinetry has grown significantly in the past five years to meet consumer demand,” said Robert Hunter, Chief Operations Officer of CNC Cabinetry. “With that growth, we identified the need for additional capacity in the Southeast and found the Upstate of South Carolina to be a great logistics location which would allow us to expand and more efficiently reach our growing consumer base. With the help of Colliers, we were able to secure a location with close proximity to the interstate and the South Carolina port system which provides options for moving product now and in the future. We look forward to establishing and growing our business in South Carolina for years to come.”

The company will bring approximately 30 jobs to the area, with warehouse and distribution operations beginning at the new facility this spring. More jobs may need to be filled as manufacturing and assembly are added at this location in the future.

The landlord in this transaction was represented by Trey Pennington and Jeff Benedict of CBRE.
