Coastal Expeditions and Patrick McMillian to Host Lecture and Bulls Island Exploration- June 24 & 25

June 19, 2017

To help raise awareness and funding for the Cape Romain National Wildlife Refuge’s Sea Turtle Conservancy Program,  Charleston’s premier outdoor outfitter Coastal Expeditions (working alongside Friends of Coastal South Carolina and the Charleston Library Society) is offering two events on June 24 and 25, featuring six-time Emmy Award-winning TV show host and South Carolina native Patrick McMillian. An astounding 1,900 nests within the refuge boundaries were produced in 2015, but due to storms (including Hurricane Matthew) that led to extensive damage to beaches, the program has recently experienced major budget shortfalls.

Please see below for more details on a unique lecture and Bulls Island Exploration occurring with Patrick McMillian on June 24 and 25 to help support the Sea Turtle Conservancy Program and let us know if you would like more information or are interested in experiencing either for yourself!
