CofC opens registration for HR, Global Logistics and Business Succession Courses

The School of Business at the College of Charleston is offering three continuing and professional education courses scheduled to begin in August.

SHRM Certification Exam Prep
August 14–December 8, 2023

A 15-week virtual course designed to help HR professionals secure their SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP®) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP®) credentials. The course, led by a SHRM-certified instructor, offers interactive discussions, sample test question reviews, and exclusive test-taking tips. The College of Charleston is an approved SHRM Education Partner that provides training with expert guidance, peer discussion and a structured schedule. Deadline to register is August 7.

Global Logistics and Transportation Professional Development Program
August 28, 2023–April 22, 2024

This 8-month professional development program is designed to provide practical knowledge and training in diverse areas of global logistics and transportation. Participants work through five training modules that conclude with an exam. Course topics include managing an export and import move, maritime insurance, and intermodal marketing.

Business Succession Planning: Financial Education for Business Owners
August 29, 2023 and September 5, 2023

A one-day course designed for busy business owners, this course offers an understanding of key business financial concepts, focusing on enhancing the value of businesses and aligning personal, financial, and business goals. Participants can attend class at the College of Charleston at WestEdge or the Charleston Metro Chamber of Commerce.
