Coldwell Banker United, REALTORS® Sales Associates Danny and Karen Hood Announce Exclusive Marketing for The Lofts at Printers Square

June 20, 2008

COLUMBIA, SC – June 19, 2008 –  Coldwell Banker United, REALTORS® (CBUR), the number one real estate company franchise within Coldwell Banker Real Estate Corporation, is pleased to announce that Danny and Karen Hood, sales associates at the Irmo office, will be exclusively marketing The Lofts At Printers Square in the Vista.

The Lofts At Printers Square, a much anticipated residential and commercial green building project, three years in the making, is finally underway. The groundbreaking was Wednesday, June 18 at the site, on the corner of Lady & Pulaski Streets.   The Lofts At Printers Square will include 11 loft-style city homes, built to LEED specifications by Carter Lambert Construction Managers & General Contractors, and designed by architects from Johnston Design Group & Overstreet Lofts & Bungalows.

Participating in the ceremony were the builders (Bob Carter & Mike Pearson), architects (Scott Johnston & David Anderssen), as well as the developing partners (Earl and Tammy Loftis, Ed Bignon, and Dan Ligon). Danny Hood introduced the event by pointing out what The Lofts At Printers Square is not and said, “It is NOT student housing, a large condo complex, or an upscale live/work unit. It is a small collection of city homes that will offer 11 very special buyers the opportunity to experience the absolute best that Columbia has to offer in: location, construction, environmental and energy consciousness, and privacy.”  Hood also pointed out that one of the most significant features of these homes, other than being a green building is the expansive outdoor living spaces.  The interior of the homes will range from just under 2,000 square feet to over 3,000 square feet, and the partially covered terraces will add another 174 square feet up to 1,300+ square feet.

The project was welcomed by Mr. Grant Jackson, Senior Vice President for Community Development with the Greater Columbia Chamber of Commerce. Mr. Fred Delk, Executive Director of Columbia Development Corporation, spoke enthusiastically of the continued growth in the Vista and how much this development in particular will mean to the area.  The Lofts At Printers Square is redefining exclusive, upscale Columbia living.

The site has been prepared and construction will begin in the next few days.  Developers believe construction will be completed by summer of 2009.
